IETC professionals provide a broad array of career guidance services that are tailored to your particular needs. The center provides a variety of services for job seekers, including: career counseling, education and job-training guidance, financial aid for education and training, personalized career plans, unemployment insurance services, America's Job Bank, and other Internet job listings, and referrals to partner organizations.
When you visit the center, you will meet with a career specialist who can tell you about all of the services we provide and help you plan your job search. In addition, our staff can help you develop your resume, write a cover letter to an employer and sharpen your interviewing skills.
In addition to expert guidance, you can also use the IETC as you look for a job. We provide computers, printers, fax machines and copiers to help you communicate your interest to potential employers. If you are out of work, the IETC staff can help determine your eligibility for securing unemployment insurance benefits. Based on your meeting eligibility criteria, we can also open the door to:

Bullet  Vocational and technical training
Bullet  College courses
Bullet  Computer training
Bullet  Basic skills courses
Bullet  GED completion programs
Bullet  English as a Second Language
Bullet  Professional workshops, seminars and entrepreneur training
Bullet  On-the-job training, internships and apprenticeships

We can also advise you on financial assistance while training or furthering your education. Based on your needs, we can connect you to training courses that fit your career goals.
On-site, in the classroom and in the field, your IETC can help you locate the training opportunities to take the first steps toward a new career. IETCs develop on-the-job training programs, including internships, apprenticeships and customized referrals.
