later. Each year it serves over 18,000 customers. Satellites, providing
similar services, are located in Beardstown at 114
East 2nd Street; in Petersburg at the Menard
County Courthouse, and at the Sangamon County Department

MISSION: The Springfield Employment & Training Center is
the principal location in the community at which career and employment
oriented services and information are available. The structure
of the Center encompasses independent organizations that have
joined together to foster prompt, lasting, economic self-sufficiency
among all job seekers by providing access to a broad range of
information, equipment, instruction, and resources to assist in
securing training and in making a comprehensive job search. The
Center is also the place where employers can find workers who
are qualified to meet specific job demands.
