IETC's statewide fulfill the same mission of providing job training, educational, informational and job placement services that link employers with people seeking employment.

HISTORY: The Springfield Employment & Training Center is one of the oldest and largest of the 55 Centers in Illinois. It opened its doors as a Center in April, 1995 and held its Grand Opening Ceremony a year later. Each year it serves over 18,000 customers. Satellites, providing similar services, are located in Beardstown at 114 East 2nd Street; in Petersburg at the Menard County Courthouse, and at the Sangamon County Department of Community Resources on the 3rd Floor of the Sangamon County Building at 200 S. 9th, Springfield. We are also closely linked with the Centers in Lincoln and Taylorville. (See Center Locations)

We are proud that the Springfield, Taylorville and Lincoln IETC Centers are fully CERTIFIED by the State of Illinois.

MISSION: The Springfield Employment & Training Center is the principal location in the community at which career and employment oriented services and information are available. The structure of the Center encompasses independent organizations that have joined together to foster prompt, lasting, economic self-sufficiency among all job seekers by providing access to a broad range of information, equipment, instruction, and resources to assist in securing training and in making a comprehensive job search. The Center is also the place where employers can find workers who are qualified to meet specific job demands.
